Today is Friday which means the a.d.d is in especially high gear around the office today..well, around my corner of the office anyway, and I wouldn't really call us a 'generic' bunch...the shakes of heads and stares at our random antics lead me to believe maybe we just don't fit in, but I'm going to go ahead and make the assumption that, considering our environment, this actually works in my favor.
I have a date with W tonight, it will be our 3rd date after a week of ridiculous giddiness, inappropriately long e-mails, and late night phone calls. God he's fabulous ...I don't tell him that though, well I don't mean too, I'm sure my childish behavior mixed with my attempt to sound grown up and use big words gives it away at times though.
That's not until after a launch party I'm attending down at Tangerine this evening...fight cancer at a nightclub...hey, drunk people donate, it's a fact that any seasoned fundraiser is quite familiar with.
Tomorrow night is A's Stagette...you can never go wrong with 18 girls in boa's, flapper dresses
and a sinful amount of booze..wait, you can actually go very wrong there, correction. Should be an interesting weekend...
Then Sunday W is taking me to the zoo...I can already feel my guilt as it will be mothers day and I have not sent a card to my mother in a really long time. I'll do it this weekend, I'm a terrible daughter, but she's not exactly the nurturing type mother either so I guess this is the balance and harmony of my given situation.
I have a trip to Ireland planned this summer, the rain and very green grass this week is not helping my focus...I can almost hear the Irish folk music from here...
Lastly, a shout out to a complete stranger who inspired me to write..Melanie Jones, absolutely fabulous writer; so witty and so real, just brilliant.
